Homeowners
Building or remodeling? Have a builder in your corner.
Custom homes and major remodels are among the biggest checks most families ever write. Your contractor has someone looking out for them. Now you do too.
How I help
Bid review & comparison
Contractor bids broken down line by line, so you can compare them fairly. Allowances, exclusions and missing scope flagged before you choose.
Contract review
A builder's read of the contract: payment schedule, change order process, warranty and scope.
Contractor selection
The right questions to ask, what to check, and the red flags I learned to spot from the other side of the table.
Payment & draw review
Before each payment goes out, I confirm the work it covers is actually done.
Progress & quality visits
Site visits at the stages that matter most, with a clear written report on what looks right and what doesn't.
Change orders, punch list & closeout
Is the change fair, and is it really a change? Then a final walkthrough with you before the last check is written.
I'm a construction advisor, not an attorney. If your project raises legal questions about a contract, a lien or a dispute, I'll recommend meeting with a construction attorney, and I'm glad to work alongside them.
When to call me
Bring me in early and I can help shape the budget, the bids and the contract before anything is locked in. Already under construction? I can step in at any stage, assess where things stand and help get the job back on track.
- Your bids don't line up and you can't tell why
- The contractor wants another payment and you're not sure the work is done
- Change orders keep showing up
- Something on site doesn't look right
